Deviating from the standard norm of product design on Yanko Design, I'd like to bring your attention this classy instillation called "London" at a Samsung UK flagship store in Westfields Shopping Centre. The impeccable interaction and graphics of instillation is one thing to be noted, however I'd like you to focus on the futuristic architecture of the London skyline. Compared to the current skyline seen here, the future foresees an elevated transportation system and windmills blending in with the skyscrapers. I suppose the designers have unwittingly stumbled upon a utopian era for this 'hyper capital'; what say Londoners…do you like this new city?

A Bucket of Fresh Air

This summer, how about gifting someone a bucket of fresh air! Floored you didn't I? What we have here is FFFFFF!!! a bucket of desk / floor fan. Constructed from plastic & polyurethane, the concept is a quirky take on humble bucket. What I love is the compact form and utility as a mini cooler, keeping the summer heat at bay.

Mother Nature’s Tools

The hand-crafted Imajen Tools set aims to inspire an attitude of responsibility and sustainability by not only encouraging kids to interact with nature, but to understand the detrimental effects to the environment caused by plastics. Unlike generic plastic toys that usually get thrown away, the wooden tools make for a great looking hand-me-down that also instill a sense of play and exploration.

This modern interpretation of the chandelier brings a breath of fresh air to the classic ornament. To adjust to lighting needs, the chandelier can be closed to diffuse and focus light as a shade or opened to illuminate an entire room. Sports Pod of the Future

Designed for 2025, the Fiat Prime City Car is a take on the ultra-compact personal pod of the future with a sporty aesthetic that’s geared toward the thrill seeker inside. A long list of technologies like drive by wire, brake by wire and steer by wire controls all aim to enhance the driving experience. The single seater (with a tad of space for groceries) positions the driver in the center, surrounded by a glass canopy that enhances the feeling of speed.

To exaggerate the sportiness, the roof line is extremely low. This would normally make getting in and out difficult, but the Prime’s roof is also a part of the door system. With the click of a button the roof slides back behind the car while the doors open in a reverse scissor action.
