Posted: 25 Apr 2012 04:54 AM PDT The MyDesk concept is essentially broken down into two components where My is an external memory-smartphone with apps that keep you connected with any kinda computer. When slipped into the Desk component, the device transforms into a Tablet PC or Notebook, depending upon what you need it to be! What makes it stand apart is the attempt to make it energy efficient with a solar recharging panel on it's back. I only hope that we can detach the panel…like a laptop skin and clamp it back on after its fully juiced up! Designer: Tommaso Ceschi - Related posts: |
Posted: 25 Apr 2012 12:01 AM PDT We’re constantly trying to hide wires, cables and plugs, but this modular system of lighting by zwei21 really owns its construction. It features attractive, colorful, textile cables, plugs, lampshades and joints that can be combined and placed in a variety of combinations to suit the user’s taste and need. Up to 3 cables can be connected to each joint for additional light. It’s a great solution for reading, working or subtle accent lighting. Gotta love the copper finish and that 4 legged stand! Posted: 25 Apr 2012 12:01 AM PDT In the modern world, the average working person sits almost 10 hours per day! It seems a bit unnatural doesn’t it? It’s no wonder that the latest trend in furniture is seating that aims to work your body while you’re at work. The Jopple is one example that forces the user to maintain balance while seated so they maintain a tight core. The design’s cushions also fold out to form a workout pad where the user can do crunches or stretch. If only it would yell at you when you’re being lazy! Posted: 25 Apr 2012 12:01 AM PDT The Sound Prism is an ultra-portable speaker unit designed specifically for use with iPad (though it will sync with any other Bluetooth audio device). The unit magnetically attaches and rolls up inside the iPad smart cover, offering enhanced stability when the iPad is placed upright and crystal clear audio emerging from both sides. Genius! Posted: 24 Apr 2012 07:07 AM PDT Love the ambient effect these 'Light Up Your Memories' drawing pin conjure. I can imagine them being handed out as party favors, or being conversation starters. Moreover they do the job of highlighting a particular picture or note quite effectively! Here is how it works, "Along with the light-up pins, the system incorporates a pin-up board of insulating cork, aluminum, and acrylic (for ease of mounting). The sandwiched aluminum panel is charged with an electric current, which lights up the drawing pin when contact is made. Only the pin's stem is able to conduct electricity; its head is non-conducting. A switch on the board controls power provision and intensity." Light Up Your Memories is a 2011 red dot design concept winner. Designers: Hwang Youn Ha, Kim Min Jeong, Cha Yoon Suk & Kim Yong Ha - Related posts: |
Posted: 24 Apr 2012 12:01 AM PDT The RT 112 rescue vehicle was design to provide access to emergency help even in remote parts of the world where terrain can be difficult. The project combines modern off-roading technology like adjustable air-bag suspension, a tough polycarbonate Makrolon shell and even a telescopic light tower for viewing obstacles in front of the vehicle. The back section is completely customizable for use in a variety rescue situations. Hit the jump to check the vid! Designer: Tomasz Siemek - Related posts: |
