Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 26 Mar 2012 09:10 AM PDT If you can look past the hubless wheels, you’ll appreciate the fine symmetry behind this design- the Twist Bike. The unique gearing system allows each component to be easily removed for storage, repair, or transporting. The design is also capable of linking with other Twists to create a tandem network of bikes. Posted: 26 Mar 2012 04:55 AM PDT The Glo-Bars is a very clever handlebar system that integrates rechargeable LED lights to the bars of the cycle. These lights not only illuminate the track for the cyclist but also make them visible to oncoming traffic. The lights double up as turn signal indicators and also emit red light for traffic behind the cyclist. By simply customizing the handles, we have a safer cycling system in place! Posted: 26 Mar 2012 03:51 AM PDT Four is a very stylized multi-touch AMOLED device that hangs on your wall, providing pretty pictures and sounds with a dash of functionality. The 145 x 235 mm device brings you weather forecasts, natural ambience, travel planning facilities and more. It is not a tablet or an attempt to put an iPad-esque clone on the wall, but an attempt to make the digitalized Mona Lisa on your wall do something more for you! Posted: 26 Mar 2012 12:04 AM PDT Inspired by the artistic and structural works of Santiago Calatrava, the BMW i-FD bridges the ultimate driving machine’s fine-tuned engineering with a dynamic and fresh aesthetic. Aggressive, shark-like lines add a futuristic touch, but the overall design is a realistic and elegant take on what future Beemers might look like. Designer: Feliciano Ruy-Díaz - Related posts: |
Posted: 26 Mar 2012 12:01 AM PDT Wildetect’s Mantis Chair takes inspiration from the African wilderness, adopting the form of one of its iconic creatures, the giant praying mantis. Admittedly, a certain level of comfort was sacrificed in the design, but its wild, sculptural aesthetic ensures it to be the primary focal point of any room. Designer: Wildetect - Related posts: |
