Yanko Design - Form Beyond Function |
Posted: 10 Feb 2012 04:41 AM PST Odorico Pordenone is a delightful caravan that expands its seams to accommodate you and your folks quite comfortably. For a person who is never intimidated by the size of the car that I am driving, a bulky trailer somehow manages to unnerve me. Looking into this idea's perfect fusion of design, technological and architectural approach, I think this one has nailed it good. Designer: Jakub Novák - |
Posted: 10 Feb 2012 04:24 AM PST Record me is an ingenious way to pass on messages and stay in touch with busy family members. Most of us have adopted the sticky-note-on-the-fridge routine; Record me changes this to a voice message that can be easily recorded and played back. The video explains the procedure and I think it is a clever way to stay in touch, I mean I'd much rather listen to my son speak than decipher his scrawny note! Designer: Luc van Hoeckel - |
Posted: 10 Feb 2012 12:03 AM PST The StroM Bouqetin is unlike any other quadricycle design in that it’s optimized for serious trail riding and touring. The rear-wheel drive, single-rider cycle features full independent suspension, dual shock rifles, a variable ball-gear drive, four disc brakes and a lightweight aluminum and carbon fiber body. Add some physical strength and you’re ready to attack the off-road. Designer: Martin Strohmeier - |
Posted: 10 Feb 2012 12:02 AM PST Inspired by airships and paragliding sports, the Sky Voyage concept aims to expand traffic networks to the sky by utilizing airspace to relieve urban traffic congestion on the ground. The hybrid glider/airship can take off vertically by inflating the gasbag in an upright position. Once airborn, the craft can be maneuvered through the wind with assistance from a hydrogen fuel-cell powered turbine engine. Designer: Jet Shao - |
Posted: 10 Feb 2012 12:01 AM PST The Wavy Tea Set isn’t just nice to look at- the layers and unique organic form are purposed as such that each fits naturally and comfortably in the user’s hand. The alternative “handle” design was inspired by the process of glass blowing and captures the pulling action of hot glass being formed. Designer: Patricia Wong - |
